We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to manage and secure our enterprise network supporting container ports, cargo terminals, and multiple remote warehouse locations in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area. This role ensures reliable connectivity for mission-critical systems such as Terminal Operating Systems (TOS), yard management, and real-time cargo tracking. The ideal candidate has strong Cisco expertise and experience with private LTE networks for industrial connectivity.

  • Administer LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and VPN infrastructure across Philadelphia port facilities, South Jersey terminals, and remote warehouses.
  • Configure and maintain Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, and firewalls (ASA/FTD).
  • Support RFID readers, gate kiosks, cargo scanners, and IoT sensors for yard and warehouse operations.
  • Deploy and manage private LTE networks for secure, high-bandwidth connectivity in outdoor port environments.
  • Integrate LTE solutions with existing WAN and SD-WAN architectures for redundancy and performance.
  • Deploy Cisco ISE/NAC, VLAN segmentation, and 802.1X for secure device onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime cybersecurity standards, C-TPAT, and local port authority requirements.
  • Use SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, or similar tools for proactive monitoring.
  • Respond to network outages impacting cargo tracking, gate operations, and customs clearance systems.
  • Lead network upgrades for new terminal expansions, warehouse connectivity projects, and SD-WAN deployments.
  • Implement redundant WAN paths for disaster recovery and business continuity.
  • All changes, improvements, and upgrades will need detailed documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years managing enterprise networks in logistics, maritime, or industrial environments.
  • Cisco CCNA (required), CCNP Enterprise (preferred).
  • Cisco IOS, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
  • SD-WAN, MPLS, LTE/5G failover.
  • Private LTE deployment and integration with enterprise networks.
  • Network security: firewalls, NAC, VPN, segmentation.
  • Familiarity with IoT/OT networks and ruggedized hardware.
  • Nice to have experience working with Terminal Operating Systems (Navis N4, Tideworks).
  • Knowledge of port automation systems, cranes, and yard sensors.
