About The Position

CTS is looking for Network Administrator and Security Administrator, with advanced Network & Security skills. The candidate should have relevant experience in all areas of network configurations within a global infrastructure with practical experiences in implementing, standardizing, and maintaining networking equipment regardless of the location of the equipment. This role is part of the Corporate IT Infrastructure team based in Lisle, IL. and reports to the Manager of IT Infrastructure. This is a hands-on technical role, not a management role.

Requirements

  • Understanding and hand-on experience of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols (BGP, OSFP, TCP, UDP, HTTPS, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience in security systems, including Fortinet, Crowd Strike and other intrusion technologies, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, internet content filtering, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with networking manufactures such as: Meraki, Cisco, HP, and Dell networking devices
  • Hands-on experience with WLAN, LAN, SDWAN architecture
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies and PKI
  • Hands-on experience with FortiGate Firewalls
  • Hands-on experience with working with managed service providers
  • Hands-on experience with IP4/IP6 IP schemas
  • Hands-on experience in trouble shooting and resolution of networking related issues
  • Hands-on experience with Wireshark, Splunk, NetFlow and other diagnostic tools
  • Experience with Virtualization technologies (VMWARE & Hyper-V)
  • Experiences with RADIUS based authentication
  • Experience with San technologies
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and patching cycles within your pillar
  • Ability to update and or create new documentation
  • Good understanding of change management processes
  • Be available for critical system changes, updates, and/or system down situations

  • Understanding of NIST SP800-171

Responsibilities

  • Maintain routers, switches, and other physical hardware that is part of the networking pillar infrastructure
  • Install and configure network equipment and firewalls, ensuring that the systems are fully patched and protected
