MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Network Administrator Senior, the work you will do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of Army Intelligence. You will play a crucial role in securing enterprise systems, advancing future capabilities while driving smarter solutions. Lead/Manage/Support: Responsible for the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and usage of the site network administration requirements. This includes studying products to determine those which best meet program needs and assisting in presenting this information to management, resulting in the purchase and installation of hardware, software, and telecommunication equipment. Collaborate: Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development teams to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems. Study and recommend network systems or modifications to improve service and mitigate user issues. Drive: Manage network performance and maintain network security, ensuring that security procedures are implemented and enforced. Responsible for troubleshooting network problems, establishing and implementing network policies, procedures, and standards while ensuring their conformance with the company's objectives. Utilize: Install all network software, evaluate, develop, and maintain telecommunications systems. You will monitor and respond to hardware and software problems using a variety of tools and techniques Perform administration duties for networking hardware including routers, switches, hubs, gateways, access points, network interface cards, networking cables, network bridges, modems, ISDN adapters, firewalls, and other related network hardware. Possess firm grasp and knowledge of fiber and copper-based Ethernet technologies, capabilities, and cabling for connectivity to local and wide area networks. Provide network troubleshooting and support, including technical support and training to end-users. Administer network security, including the backup of file server data/disks and providing complex server maintenance. Set up new users and delete old users from the network. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with network infrastructure and/or components. Train users on network operations and ensure their understanding of network policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or Master’s Degree with 10 years of experience
  • 12+ years of related experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications.
  • TS/SCI security clearance
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract.
  • IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent.
  • Computing Environment certification: CCNA or CCNA-Security.
  • On customer site daily support.
  • Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract.
  • The position may require lifting of objects (i.e., IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e., plug-in cables), and other moderately strenuous activity.
  • Travel may be required to support the mission.
  • US Citizenship Required
