About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Network Administrator Senior to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard. Responsibilities Lead enterprise network operations across classified and unclassified environments to ensure availability, security, and performance of DoDIN services for NGB, ARNG, and State JFHQs. Operate and support 24/7 NOC functions providing Tier 1–3 and IT operations support; monitor WAN links, IP networks, circuits, and enterprise services (data, voice, video). Administer, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, web proxies, VoIP systems, and virtualized infrastructure across CONUS and state ICANs. Plan and execute modernization activities: hardware refresh, software updates, device reconfiguration, endpoint management, and site implementations for NIPRNet/SIPRNet. Maintain STIG/IAVM/RMF‑aligned configurations, support DCWF work roles, and produce technical documentation, change records, and modernization/status reports. Support cloud and enterprise hosting (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) by administering virtual platforms, performing patching/tuning, and sustaining ATO‑ready configurations. Develop and maintain automation, workflows, SOPs, runbooks, and diagrams for change/release management, ticketing, incident handling, and configuration management per ITIL/DoDAF. Administer SIEM and scanning tools, perform vulnerability mitigation and countermeasure deployment, and coordinate incident response with SOC, CIRT, NETCOM, ARCYBER, and RCC‑ARNG. Manage Army 365 and enterprise email services, licensing, provisioning, circuit lifecycle tasks, VoIP topology planning, and network design/implementation support. Conduct engineering sustainment, fielding, installation activities, produce cost/material estimates, and contribute to EA, data management, and systems analysis for network scalability and resilience. #ENOCS

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Candidate must meet ONE of the following: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; OR Relevant DoD/military training (examples: M0923W1; A‑102‑5888; A‑102‑5599 (SNOOP); C‑150‑1401; W‑150‑4575; S‑250‑1095; A‑531‑0022; A‑531‑0009; A‑531‑0045; A‑113‑0381; A‑113‑0342; A‑121‑0594 (P/L); A‑104‑0084; A‑150‑4219 (P/L); A‑150‑9020 (P/L); C‑531‑0038); OR Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (examples: SecurityX/CASP+; CCNP Security; CCSP; FITSP‑O; GFACT).
  • Network engineering/operations experience with at least 3 years leading enterprise network programs or NOC operations.
  • Expert hands‑on proficiency with routing/switching, firewall/VPN administration, VoIP systems, DNS, virtualization, and multi‑domain (NIPR/SIPR/cloud) environments.
  • Demonstrated experience applying DISA STIGs, coordinating patching/IAVM workflows, vulnerability remediation, and supporting RMF/ATO evidence requirements.
  • Strong skills in automation/scripting (PowerShell/Python), monitoring/SIEM tooling, configuration management, and network performance tuning/capacity planning.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional incident response, produce decision‑grade technical briefings, and manage large‑scale deployments and modernization efforts.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior DoD/ARNG/NETCOM experience supporting multi‑domain enterprise networks and COOP/DR capable infrastructures.
  • Experience with SD‑WAN, Exadata/engineered systems integrations, automated provisioning/orchestration, and cloud connectivity patterns.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture integration, cost estimating for fielding, and mentoring/leading distributed operations teams.
