Link Solutions is seeking a Network Administrator (Senior-Level) to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Must be a US Citizen. Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance. Non-remote (relocation incentive available). The Network Administrator (Senior-Level) will be responsible for supporting the Army Research Laboratory in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This position will require a deep understanding of enterprise network architecture, Layer 2/3 switching, routing protocols, and network security standards. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, performance, and security of the network infrastructure in accordance with DoD and ARL IT policies.   • Manage network performance and proactively maintain security protocols.
  • Configure, install, and maintain Layer 2/3 switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, encryption devices, and telecommunication systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues across a variety of devices and configurations.
  • Implement and enforce information security procedures in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Configure routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP, and manage both IPv4/IPv6 based networks.
  • Set up and manage IPSec tunnels, 802.1x, and 802.11 LAN/MAN environments.
  • Define and enforce network policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Train users in network operations and best practices.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
  • Ten (10+) years of relevant experience or a BA/BS Degree with two (2+) years of experience in an IT enterprise network engineering role.
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certified.
  • Proven leadership in managing complex network environments, including DoD networks.
  • Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), security standards (802.1X, 802.11, MAC bridging), and media access control systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in network segmentation, traffic management, and secure network architecture design.
  • In-depth knowledge of network tools, monitoring platforms, and documentation best practices.
  • Ability to plan and implement large-scale network configurations and upgrades while minimizing downtime.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification.
  • Experience with incident management within the ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform.
  • Familiarity with NIST, STIG, RMF, and Federal Information Systems Controls.
  • Working knowledge of hardware configuration management tools and logistics tracking systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
