The Classified Infrastructure Services department provides expertise to programs in Data Center Management, Networking and High-Performance Computing. As a Network Administrator (Senior Analyst Level), you will work closely with system administrators and cybersecurity and bring an enhanced level of knowledge on networking technologies and practices to support multiple program Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs). This is an on-site position in our McKinney, TX office.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Demonstrated experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco hardware on Local Area Networks (LAN) within classified environments
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Effective customer service skills, including oral and written communications
  • CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent 8570 IAT Level II or 8140 Intermediate for Network Operations Specialist) or commitment to obtain within 6 months of starting employment
  • Experience installing and operating SNMP-based network management tools (e.g. SolarWinds)
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting RADIUS for 802.1x and AAA using Network Policy Server or Cisco Identity Services Engine
  • Experience configuring and operating Type-1 encryption devices (e.g. KG-175 series)
  • Associate-level Cisco certification (e.g. Cisco Certified Network Associate)

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and problems reported by users and system administrators
  • Follow network design guides and processes/practices
  • Review Technical Security Controls with minimal supervision
  • Monitor network for health and performance
  • Create and maintain technical documentation such as network diagrams
  • May require occasional domestic travel
