About The Position

GC&E Federal is seeking a Network Administrator Lead. The candidate for this position will work within our team to support our government Information Technology (IT) program with our Fort Devens client. As a Network Administrator Lead in charge of the Network section you will ensure successful operations and maintenance of the Information and Infrastructure systems for Fort Devens, MA.

Requirements

  • Support of an IT environment with workstations from multiple vendors.
  • Support of an IT environment with network equipment from multiple vendors.
  • Support and management of Mission funded Remote Access via VPN.
  • Support of Wireless LAN technology.
  • Configure, install, query, and support Firewall's to include CISCO, Palo Alto, or Brocade.
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Audit Support.
  • Configuring routers and switches.
  • Must have CompTIA Security + prior to hire.
  • Ability to obtain a Juniper Networks Internet Associate JNCIA-Junos or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) within three months of hire date.
  • SECRET Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Will install, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot data network systems.
  • Will use switches, routers, wireless technology, ports and protocols, protocol analyzers, network applications, network services, network appliances, and operating multiple high security LANs, as part of unclassified and classified wide area networks.
  • Manage, monitor and maintain approved connections to external networks, for Devens NIPRNET and SIPRNET. Restore in the event of outage or troubleshoot if degraded.
  • Operate and maintain SIPRNET connectivity (to the battalion) between computers and associated devices.
  • Operate and maintain NIPRNET connectivity on the campus.
  • Monitor the NIPRNET switch instances by utilizing enterprise management software in Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA's) Joint Network Management (JMN) environment to monitor network performance, analyze network activity, and maintain network availability.
  • Perform network discovery and conduct fault analysis each normally scheduled duty day.
  • Manage network equipment/software to include configuration management and capacity management for NEC managed infrastructure.
  • Operate and maintain two (2) common core switches or backbone.
