Southridge Behavioral Hospital is a beautiful and new state-of-the-art facility. As a joint venture with the Trinity Health System and Universal Health Services, we serve up to 96 adult and geriatric patients across four units. More information about Southridge can be found online at: https://southridgebh.com/ Position Description: Under the direction of Plant Operations, this person will be responsible for investigating and diagnosing network problems, collecting IT usage stats, making recommendations for improving the company's IT systems and carrying out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions. Technologies to be managed include: server infrastructure, telecommunications, installation and trouble-shooting of all computers, multi-function and desktop printers and fax/copy machines, hospital paging system, computer security access and back-up systems.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in computer science or related field and/or equivalent experience required.
  • Prefer Bachelor’s degree in computer related field.
  • Prefer 3-5 years of experience in the field of Information Services/Technology.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting computer system components.
  • Experience with DOS, LAN, WAN & VOIP preferred.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides one-to-one support to desktop users.
  • Diagnoses and resolves all IT issues using available internal and external resources.
  • Serves as project leader for all IT technology initiatives developed and implemented at the facility including comparative analyses and competitive bidding.
  • Maintains all proper hardware/software licenses and renews them as required.
  • Creates and updates all Information Technology policies and procedures in coordination with UHS IT department.
  • Maintains asset database on all technology equipment.
  • Manages and coordinates WAN connections with UHS Corporate BHIS department, as well as domain within Southridge.
  • Manage IP phones and company cell phones.
  • Manages technology inventory to include procurement and appropriate disposal.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all matters regarding the hospital’s financial and patient care information as well as, internal computer system (hardware and software) and security levels.
  • Other duties as assigned.
