About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Administrator to join our Information Technologies team. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and security of our organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in networking and systems administration, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills to support end users and collaborate with software vendors.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security or related discipline.
  • Three (3) years of technology-related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be accepted.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or similar.
  • Experience with network monitoring and intrusion detection systems.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation tools for network administration.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware including servers, routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Manage and support network services such as Active Directory, Entra ID, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Certificates, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, and VPN access.
  • Perform regular system updates and ensure optimal performance of network systems.
  • Oversee security measures including email protection, web content filtering, endpoint protection, network monitoring, and intrusion prevention systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
  • Implement and regularly test disaster recovery and backup strategies.
  • Researching and recommending new network products or solutions.
  • Managing user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
  • Collaborating with vendors and internet service providers.
  • Assisting with network design and planning for future growth.
  • Ordering necessary hardware, software, and supplies.
  • Performs related work as assigned.
