About The Position

The Network Administrator II is a specialist focused in firewalls and networking, with extensive experience in large enterprise organizations. This position must be able to isolate, resolve and follow-up with end-users within the current infrastructure and networks that have an elevated level of complexity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Four (4) to ten (10) years of IT Experience in a large enterprise ($1-5 BN in revenue) environment.
  • Must have specialized skills in firewalls and/or networking.
  • Must be available for 24-hour support.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong computer/systems skills – MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook).
  • Solid organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and manage a broad range of responsibilities.
  • High degree of concentration, attention to detail, high energy, self-motivated and self-reliant.
  • Strong cooperation, collaboration, and team-building skills.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
  • Personal integrity to handle personal and confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for core infrastructure including firewall technology and networking.
  • Extensive knowledge of firewall technology (NGFW, Palo Alto preferred) as well as networking.
  • Solid experience with selecting, maintaining, installing and upgrading firewall technology.
  • Able to assess enterprise requirements and submit them to management for approval.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in the technological arena.
  • Responsible for hardware requirements and improving or maximizing the Information Processing Network's performance.
  • Manage, maintain, and administer computer networks and related computing environments and support special IT, business and MES projects.
  • Assist with site migrations, new site acquisitions as well as site closures.
  • Interact with internal clients and IT staff to resolve basic plant technical issues; communicate with internal clients in a professional manner while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Perform monthly maintenance on systems.
  • Travel to other HEXPOL locations may be required.
