About The Position

The Supreme Court of Nevada is seeking a Network Administrator I to play a key role in supporting the Court’s on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based network infrastructure. This position is hands-on and operational, working closely with senior technical staff to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of enterprise and cloud networking environments. The Network Administrator I contributes directly to the stability of critical judicial systems by monitoring, maintaining, and enhancing network services across data center and cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure. This role offers meaningful technical responsibility, exposure to modern hybrid architectures, and the opportunity to support technology that serves courts statewide. This position can be located in Las Vegas or Carson City. After an initial training period, there may be an opportunity for a hybrid remote/in-office schedule. This position may require occasional work outside of normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays,

Requirements

  • One to three years of experience in network administration or infrastructure support.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
  • Hands-on experience supporting cloud networking in AWS and/or Azure environments.
  • Foundational understanding of network security, access controls, and segmentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow established procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Entry-level certifications (Network+, CCNA, or equivalent).
  • AWS or Azure certifications such as Certified Solutions Architect or Certified Advanced Networking.
  • Demonstrated practical cloud networking experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with Routing, Hybrid Cloud connectivity, and Site-to-Site VPN.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with configuring, administering, and maintaining LAN, WAN, wireless, virtual, and cloud network environments.
  • Perform hands-on administration of cloud networking components in AWS and Azure, including virtual networks, subnets, routing, and connectivity services.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and alerts across on-premises and cloud environments; escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Perform routine network maintenance, patching, and updates under supervision.
  • Support hybrid network connectivity between on-premises systems and cloud platforms.
  • Assist with firewall rule changes, VPN connectivity, network segmentation, and cloud network security controls.
  • Support network upgrades and infrastructure changes across enterprise and cloud environments.
  • Follow network security standards, configuration baselines, and access control policies.
  • Apply approved security configurations within AWS and Azure networking services.
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation and compliance activities.
  • Report security incidents and configuration deviations promptly.
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, procedures, and configuration records.
  • Document incidents, changes, and resolutions in ticketing and change-management systems.
  • Provide technical support for network-related issues.
  • Work with senior network administrators and IT staff on operational tasks and projects.
