The Intermediate Network Administrator will require a deep understanding of enterprise network architecture, Layer 2/3 switching, routing protocols, and network security standards. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, performance, and security of the network infrastructure to include documentation in accordance with DoD policies in Clarksburg, WV.

  • Manage network performance and proactively maintain security protocols.
  • Configure, install, and maintain Layer 2/3 switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, encryption devices, and telecommunication systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues across a variety of devices and configurations.
  • Implement and enforce information security procedures in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Configure routing protocols including OSPF and BGP and manage both IPv4/IPv6 based networks.
  • Set up and manage IPSec tunnels, 802.1x, and 802.11 LAN/MAN environments.
  • Define and enforce network policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Train users in network operations and best practices.
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information science, engineering, business, or related scientific or technical discipline or equivalent in accordance with Education/Experience.
  • Four (4) Years of experience in designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining core network infrastructure solutions.
  • Extensive working knowledge of routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, multicast), VoIP solutions, and cabling services.
  • Must meet DoDM 8140.03 (formerly DoD 8570 IAT-II) compliance (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • IAT-II baseline certification requirements IAW DOD 8570.01-M - (Security+ CE, GSEC, or SSCP).
  • Additional network certifications.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
  • An MS or BA/BS in computer sciences or information technology with 2+ additional years of experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with Remedy ticketing system.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
  • Must be willing to provide after-hours support in emergency situations.
  • Extensive working knowledge Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation.
