About The Position

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a NETAPP Administrator for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard IT Support Services contract. NNSY's mission is to safely return warships to the Fleet on time and within budget. The NNSY CIO (Code 109) provides comprehensive IT and telecom support that maintains Fleet readiness in logistics, maintenance, engineering, supply, legal, readiness reporting, emergency response, and more. The CIO installs, manages, and secures all shipyard networks and systems; approves IT purchases; and runs a Navy/DoD-compliant Information Assurance program. It supports approximately 10,000 NMCI seats and leads cyberspace efficiency initiatives while managing SYLAN, SECNET, Mobile Workforce Enablement, NFPCICN, standalone systems, servers, wireless networks, circuits, applications, and devices. This position is fully on-site.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering) or Level II Certification (Security+ or better) AND four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in SharePoint Server administration, with at least three (3) years of specialized experience managing, configuring, and supporting SharePoint On-Premises environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator, and CompTIA Security+.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, manage, and maintain SharePoint Server (2016/2019) environments, including web applications, site collections, content databases, and service applications.
  • Manage user permissions, Active Directory group integration, and SharePoint security policies.
  • Implement and maintain governance policies, backup and recovery plans, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Administer and optimize Central Administration, Search Service Application, User Profile Service, and Managed Metadata Services.
  • Support and manage migrations between SharePoint On-Premises and SharePoint Online using tools such as SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT), ShareGate, or Metalogix.
  • Perform routine system health checks, apply patches, Cumulative Updates (CUs), and Service Packs (SPs) to maintain system stability.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and respond to system alerts or issues affecting SharePoint availability or performance.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to manage Windows Server, IIS, and SQL Server configurations related to SharePoint.
  • Investigate and resolve SharePoint errors, performance bottlenecks, and service disruptions.
  • Provide tier 2/3 support to end users and site owners for SharePoint issues.
  • Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Deploy and configure custom or third-party SharePoint solutions, features, and web parts.
  • Support solution lifecycle management (test, production) in coordination with developers and business units.
  • Assist with migrations or upgrades between SharePoint versions or from older to newer environments.
