About The Position

Senior Certified Electrical Testing Technician (NETA Level 4). Supervises large projects and multiple crews and can work independently. Performs complex investigations, tests, and evaluations; leads planning and customer interface; reviews reports and ensures technical and safety excellence across projects.

Requirements

• NETA Level 4 certification (or ability to obtain/maintain per company requirement).
• Typically 10+ years of full-time related field experience (or equivalent technical education per NETA guidance).
• Expert knowledge of power distribution equipment, protection & control, and applicable standards (NETA, IEEE, NFPA 70E, OSHA).
• Proven leadership capability managing crews, clients, and complex outage/testing scopes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee multi-crew testing programs (ATS/MTS), including scheduling, resourcing, outage coordination, and customer communications.
• Direct complex investigations and advanced diagnostics; validate corrective action plans and acceptance criteria with stakeholders.
• Serve as technical authority for test methods, results interpretation, and reporting; review and approve final deliverables.
• Ensure consistency of testing and documentation across crews; implement quality controls and continuous improvement actions.
• Lead switching/energization support activities where authorized; coordinate with operations and commissioning leadership.
• Mentor and develop Level 1–3 technicians; support training plans, competency sign-offs, and certification progression.
• Maintain accountability for safety performance across projects: audits, incident investigations, and corrective/preventive actions.
