MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced .NET Web Developer III located in Madison, WI. Our client is a government agency looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. They are known to respect a traditional work week and often extend contracts for added job security and stability.   Note: Candidate MUST be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense. 90-100% remote but can require staff to come onsite as necessary with sufficient notice. Onsite work is not likely, but candidate should be prepared to come onsite if required. Mobile device may be subject to sole use requirement for DCF work only and will require management via a DCF mobile device management system.   Additional Details: 7 Year Standard Background Check run internally by HR. Fingerprinting is required if working with FTI. All job offers are contingent on the candidate passing the required background checks.  Failure to pass the required background checks will result in the offer being rescinded.   Project details: The person in this position will work closely with the team in designing and developing the front end and server side of the web application. Project duties include requirements analysis, design, front-end and back-end web application development, testing, participation in interactive code reviews, and development using JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC with C#, with SQL Server, DB2, and Oracle databases. Expectations for this position are development of quality code using TDD, participation in active code reviews, sharing expertise, respectful communication, transparency, technical documentation, and the ability to perform production support. There are multiple projects underway which include an Enterprise-wide migration effort to a unified authentication platform using Okta which will require the candidates to have strong experience and working knowledge of OIDC and be able to implement secure authentication flows and project sensitive API's using access tokens; additionally experience with identity and access management platforms such as Okta is preferred. Other projects in flight and upcoming include .NET MVC and .NET 8 web applications with some use of JavaScript, Blazor, and Kendo UI components, and the candidate will be joining an existing team.  A vast majority of the portfolio is modernized off legacy mainframe applications to web applications using ASP.NET MVC with C#, WebAPI, n-tier architecture and SQL Server.  This developer will work on other projects as needed.
