About The Position

The Office of Information Services (OIS) works to support the business functions and the delivery of health, human, and employment services through the application of information technology. OIS supports the delivery of programs to millions of recipients through the development and round-the-clock operation of automated information systems. What You Will Do As a .NET Software Developer, you will utilize your .NET and MVC development skills to support various Business Process Management applications. You will work closely with a small, collaborative team to design, develop, and maintain applications that enhance business operations. This role offers exposure to new tools and technologies such as Visual Studio, Azure, and GIT, and provides opportunities to continuously update your skills. Strong analytical and communication abilities, along with proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, will help you succeed in this position.

Requirements

  • OPTION 1: 36 months combined work experience in any combination of the following: developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications, performing testing and debugging and assisting with analysis and design
  • 12 months work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting (.NET).
  • OPTION 2: Completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems.
  • 18 months combined work experience in any combination of the following: developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications, performing testing and debugging and assisting with analysis and design.
  • 12 months work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting (.NET).
  • OPTION 3: Completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems.
  • 12 months combined work experience in any combination of the following: developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications, performing testing and debugging and assisting with analysis and design.
  • 12 months work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting (.NET).
  • Or Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a small team of .NET developers.
  • Assist with design, development, and maintenance of .NET applications.
  • Troubleshoot issues in .NET applications.
  • Support code testing to ensure fast and seamless application performance.
  • Integrate .NET applications with databases, servers, and network systems.
  • Assist with application development according to defined requirements and timelines.
  • Provide user support by building assistance tools and documentation.
  • Support the entire software development lifecycle.
