About The Position

The State of Ohio – Department of Public Safety (ODPS) is seeking an experienced .NET Programmer 5 (PR5) for a 100% onsite role in Columbus, OH. The selected consultant will work closely with IT supervisors, project managers, business analysts, QA teams, and developers in an Agile development environment . The consultant will be responsible for new application development and/or modernization of legacy systems into .NET-based solutions while adhering to ODPS coding standards and N-tier architecture principles.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze technical and business requirements
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support .NET applications
• Rewrite and modernize legacy applications into .NET solutions
• Develop applications using C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, Windows Forms, and SQL Server
• Implement N-tier architecture and secure SOA/WCF services
• Create presentations, demos, and technical documentation
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
