Position Summary Inspect product (detail fabrication, machine parts or assemblies) to customer engineering drawings, specifications, supplier quality requirements, and Perfekta’s Policies and Procedures using appropriate inspection equipment. Ability to train as a Delegated for assigned customers as designated by Q.A. management.

Requirements

Three-year experience as inspector (or five (5) years in manufacturing) in an aircraft/aerospace with a working knowledge of blueprints (intermediate to expert level blue reading req.), parts fabrication, machining, and assembly in a manufacturing environment pursuant to applicable processes and procedures.
Working knowledge of inspection tools and equipment (micrometer, calibers, height gages, ball gages/pin gages, air gages and dial indicators etc.)
Must have ability to read applicable customer/ Perfekta documents with or without corrective lenses.
Must be able to lift thirty (30) pounds or more on a regular basis.
Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of GD&T and Geometric Dimensioning is desirable but must be willing and able to learn within a six (6) month time frame.
Working knowledge of MS Office Applications.

Responsibilities

Inspect product to customer purchase order (P.O.), engineering requirements and the production planning.
Monitor and review Customer Supplier Quality Requirements to ensure compliance.
Ensure that First Article Inspections (FAI) are performed per applicable time period, work orders and documented per customer and company procedures.
Ensure all defects are recorded on proper form and sent to the MRB crib for segregation and disposition.
Maintain Six S (6 S) training.
Comply with Perfekta’s Policies and Procedures per Perfekta, Inc. Employee Handbook.
Notify immediate supervisor of any safety hazard you see in your work area.
Notify immediate supervisor of ideas that you think would help improve your department or company.
All other duties as assigned.
