.NET Developer

The Application Developer role at Atlantic BT is a full-time position focused on building web applications utilizing a blend of back-end and front-end technologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong development skills and be capable of serving as a technical leader within the organization. This role is pivotal in enhancing the software department through expertise, quality work, and mentorship. The developer will be responsible for planning, estimating, and implementing features and enhancements to existing applications, as well as architecting and developing new applications from the ground up. In this position, the developer will design, implement, and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures/functions for SQL Server. They will also develop websites that align with client requirements using technologies such as C#, .NET, MVC, or Umbraco. Collaboration with front-end developers and designers is essential to ensure that the websites meet design and accessibility standards. Additionally, the developer will work closely with the IT department to architect cloud-hosted infrastructure that meets scalability needs. The role involves designing, documenting, and developing APIs for both internal and external use, as well as communicating and collaborating with clients to gather requirements and provide updates. The developer will also be responsible for demoing completed work to stakeholders, planning projects with project managers, and conducting code reviews to minimize security vulnerabilities. Troubleshooting application issues and making data privacy recommendations according to various standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI are also key responsibilities. The developer will evaluate and select appropriate technologies for new and existing applications and champion automated testing practices within the team. Participation in team meetings and documentation of projects according to departmental standards are also expected.
