Under the general supervision of the Partnered Solutions Supervisor, in the Division of Enterprise Technology (DET), this position is responsible for providing an advanced level of technical knowledge for planning, development, security and implementation and administration of applications and support services that have statewide impact. This includes research, standardization, deployment, administration, and support of all relative tools associated with a particular application, customer or client. This includes analyzing, designing, planning, building and state of the art applications, tracking emerging technologies, researching new products, and planning for future systems on a proactive basis for internal and enterprise-wide applications. This position is expected to use a combination of programming knowledge, threat management, and communication skills to automate and integrate cybersecurity at every stage of the DevSecOps process. Knowledge of best practices within the secure software development framework (i.e., NIST 800-218 SSDF, ISO 27034) or similar approaches are critical to developing secure systems. This position's main responsibility is application design, development, security, testing, implementation, support and maintenance. In addition, the position is responsible for the coordination and support of application enhancements, maintenance, and problem resolution. It provides technical expertise to information technology (IT) project managers, IT enterprise consultants, technical support specialists, customers, and vendors regarding applications.
