About The Position

The .NET Developer works with other IT team members, business leaders, consultants, and end users in coordinating and developing solutions within Living Spaces Web and ERP environment from concept through implementation and support. Will analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for the business or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college in computer science systems engineering, or computer engineering or related field.
  • 5 years of significant practical and technical experience in a Microsoft development environment.
  • 5 years of experience as .NET developer with dynamic and/or compiled programming languages
  • Experience with a software product development environment.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or similar DevOps tools.
  • 2 years significant practical and technical experience in a Microsoft Dynamics AX environment (X++).
  • 5 years in a retail / distribution environment.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong knowledge of .NET (C#, XML, web services, etc.).
  • Knowledge of SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of C#, REST API development, XML and other object-oriented languages/tools.
  • Experience with a software product development environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Azure DevOps or similar DevOps tools.
  • ERP system experience and technical design pattern experience strongly desired.
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 / 2012 experience.
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX .Net Business Connector experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Mobile experience is a plus (.NET Maui, iOS, Android, etc.).
  • 6 months+ experience utilizing AI-powered development tools to automate boilerplate code, unit tests etc.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with internal teams, external partners / consultants, and contributes directly in projects and support
  • Responsible for all phases of the software development life cycle
  • Codes instructions for computer programs/objects/components; configures packaged software; tests and implements all changes to ensure they meet specifications
  • Documents and implements programs according to installation standards and conventions
  • Quality checks program code, related objects and documentation
  • Responds to Production Support issues
  • Participate in problem solving and troubleshooting for the assigned applications, functional areas or projects
  • Analyzes programs to ensure that they efficiently use computer and storage resources; recommends appropriate changes as necessary
  • Conducts preliminary estimates / Rough Order of Magnitude for the level of effort of new/change to application functionality
  • Analyzes and makes recommendations for the need for system backup, security, restart/recovery, balancing & controls; recommends approaches for meeting such needs
  • Analyzes and documents the requirements and approaches to data conversion and data modeling
  • Stay current with changes in the technical area of expertise
