Candidates must be local to Austin, TX Responsibilities: As a .NET Developer, you will assist in the development, maintenance, and support of custom software applications used to support business operations. The role works within a collaborative team environment to implement enhancements, resolve issues, and ensure applications function reliably. The developer will apply established development standards, participate in testing and troubleshooting, and communicate with technical staff and business users to support ongoing system improvements. Requirements

  • 2+ Developing applications using C# and the .NET Framework/.NET Core in a professional environment
  • 2+ Experience working with relational databases including SQL Server, writing queries, stored procedures, and ORM frameworks such as EF Core, NHibernate, or similar
  • 2+ Developing desktop and supporting Windows Desktop applications in a C#/.NET environment (WinForms and/or WPF) with exposure to modern .NET Core Development and legacy codebases
  • 2+ Windows Forms development experience including UI controls (e.g., Infragistics) and multi-threaded processing
  • 2+ Experience using source control tools such as Git, TFS, or similar version control systems
  • 2+ Working in an Agile or iterative development environment supporting ongoing application enhancements
  • 2+ Debugging and troubleshooting application defects and validating solutions through testing
  • 1+ Experience writing or executing unit tests using NUnit, xUnit, or similar testing frameworks
  • 1+ Ability to communicate technical concepts and gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ Experience developing web front-end components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Angular
  • 1+ Experience implementing dependency injection using DI framework (e.g., Lamar or similar)
  • 1+ Experience developing or consuming RESTful Web APIs
  • 1+ Experience supporting legacy applications and participating in modernization efforts to newer .NET versions
  • 1+ Experience working in government, legislative, or public-sector environments
  • 1+ Experience using browser developer tools to troubleshoot performance or application issues
