Peraton is looking to hire a .NET Core Microservice Software Engineer supporting the Tomahawk Weapon Systems(TWS) in Lexington Park, MD. This is an on-site position. In support of the US Navy, Peraton develops 5 of the 7 components of The Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC). TMPC is the mission planning segment of the Tomahawk Weapon System that provides precision targeting, route planning, mission distribution, and strike management of Tomahawk cruise missile missions from sites located ashore and afloat. TMPC optimizes all aspects of the Tomahawk missile mission to successfully engage a target. What You'll Do: Lead the development and implementation of a microservices architecture to modernize critical systems for Navy Sailors. Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using Angular, C#, and PostgreSQL. Mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance and fostering their professional growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Drive the adoption of containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes to enhance application deployment and security. Ensure and enforce compliance with security protocols and DevSecOps best practices throughout the development lifecycle. Champion Agile development processes within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology. Act as a key technical point of contact for stakeholders, communicating project progress, and addressing technical challenges.
