About The Position

14343 – .Net Applications Architect (Onsite) – Tallahassee, FL Start Date : ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration : 12 months with possible extensions Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.

Requirements

  • Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required)
  • Experience with multiple IT areas (7 years)
  • Experience as an application architect (2-3 years)
  • Experience with applications systems design and integration, specifically .NET
  • Experience with Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and event-driven architectures
  • Experience with API design, integration patterns, and web application development
  • Experience with Azure DevOps tools such as App Insights, Key Vault, and Blob Storage
  • Experience with SQL Server, relational database design, and performance tuning
  • Experience with the SCRUM Framework and financial systems such as an ERP

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, and WebAPIs (RESTful Services)
  • Experience with Entity Framework / ORM Frameworks and .NET 6+
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and CI/CD Pipelines like Azure DevOps or GitHub actions
  • Experience with Front-End JavaScript Libraries such as Angular, React, or Vue
  • Experience with SonarQube code scanning tools and modernization of legacy UI components

Responsibilities

  • Design and document end-to-end application architectures using the Microsoft .NET ecosystem
  • Establish architectural standards, solution patterns, reference architectures, and design guidelines
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and code reviews for development teams to ensure architectural compliance
  • Assess existing systems, identify technical debt, and guide migrations from legacy JCL/COBOL/FOCUS to .NET
  • Produce and maintain architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs)
  • Analyze and document existing computing assets and assist with debugging and troubleshooting through root cause analysis
  • Coordinate with business analysts and product owners to remediate assets to the new state-wide accounting system
