The NetApp SME position at Kforce Inc is focused on the development and delivery of Storage Infrastructure services and automation to support enterprise operations. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and supporting storage platforms that enhance agility and fulfill company growth initiatives. The position also involves mentoring team members within a DevOps operating model and requires expertise in various technologies including NetApp NAS and SAN platforms, infrastructure automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Provide technical leadership in executing Systems Infrastructure strategy to enhance agility in Infrastructure services.
  • Design, support, and maintain a delivery platform that meets the stability, scalability, and availability demands of the business.
  • Identify and implement ongoing opportunities for system and process improvements.
  • Maintain development standards in compliance with enterprise standards, ensuring optimal design, security, and performance of solutions.
  • Deliver objectives associated with problem management, including customer communication and root cause analysis reports.
  • Document internal SOPs, processes, and training to ensure team success in a DevOps environment.
  • Lead internal infrastructure projects requiring cross-departmental coordination.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Professional Certifications: Preferred Microsoft and Red Hat DevOps Certifications.
  • 6+ years of related work experience in Information Technology; 3+ years in DevOps utilizing SDLC agile methodology with various programming languages.
  • High Demand IT Specialized skills in DevOps in Public and Private Cloud Environments.
  • Knowledge of NetApp Storage Platforms (SAN and NAS) and Software Management Technologies (Cloud Insights, Active IQ).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, and others.
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Bluemix) and container services (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker).
  • Knowledge of repository tools (GitHub, BitBucket) and virtualization services (VMware, Nutanix AHV).
  • Development and execution of DevOps engineering practices.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, server, and storage technologies.
  • Understanding of business process re-engineering from lean principles to Agile processes.
  • Knowledge of open telemetry observability frameworks and publish/subscribe models.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL core principles for incident, request, change, and problem management.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to comprehend business requirements to ensure technical directions are supportive.
