About The Position

Directs and supervises nursing services in accordance with governmental and other regulatory standards. Oversees nursing care essential to the assessment, promotion, maintenance and restoration of patients' health and wellness. Oversees patient needs and suggests solutions to patient care problems. In conjunction with Medical Director and Practice Manager interviews clinical staff and has input into new hires. Orients, trains, evaluates (in conjunction with Practice Manager and/or Medical Director) all clinical staff in the Internalist office. Ensures the development and delivery of nursing education to staff. Ensures that an acceptable patient flow is achieved, and that staff are professional and maintain confidentiality at all times. Ensures that provider needs are met as they relate to the clinical office. Tracks and reports all supplies used weekly in collaboration with Practice Manager.

Requirements

  • NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required.
  • NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice.
  • Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.
  • Eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC, and Master's Degree.
  • Eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA.
  • Initial certification must be present or obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise nursing services according to regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with Medical Director and Practice Manager in interviewing clinical staff.

  • Track and report supplies used weekly in collaboration with Practice Manager.

Benefits

  • Salary range: $92,000 - $147,004 based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
