About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a On call- Nephrologist at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, NV Position Highlights: Provide intermittent, on-call nephrology services to act as a backup and provide coverage only during periods when the active-duty government Nephrologist is unavailable. Providers are not required to be on-site at the Medical Center unless specifically called in. Minimum Weekend Coverage: The schedule will require the Contractor's Group to be on call for at a minimum, two (2) full weekends per month. A full weekend is defined as the 48-hour period from Saturday at 0700 to Monday at 0700. Projected Workload: The total projected workload is approximately 182 coverage days annually. On-Call Responsibilities and Response Times Remote Consultation: During a scheduled on-call period, the designated physician must be available to respond to telephonic or other virtual consultations from MTF staff. These calls typically last 10–15 minutes In-Person Activation: If in-person services are deemed medically necessary, the on-call physician must be able to report to and arrive at the MTF within 60 minutes of being requested to do so. Continuity of Care: Once activated for an in-person consultation, the contract physician is responsible for the patient's daily reassessment and reevaluation until care is appropriately concluded. This conclusion is defined as one of the following: The patient is discharged. The case is officially signed off by the contract physician. Care is formally transferred back to the government’s primary nephrologist.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada.
  • Candidates must have a permanent, full, and unrestricted Medical License to practice medicine in the state of Nevada.
  • Must have been employed in the practice of Nephrology or in an accredited training program for 24 of the last 36 month.
  • Must have experience working in inpatient and outpatient in Nephrology to include management
  • Current board certification or board eligible in Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities
