About The Position

Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is seeking bilingual and multilingual individuals to work as freelance interpreters in a 1099 Independent Contractor role. The position allows interpreters to set their own schedules and accept appointments based on availability, contributing to language access for individuals with limited English proficiency. The role is flexible, with appointments available Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, although they are not guaranteed and depend on demand.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and the target language with a strong understanding of idiomatic speech and cultural nuances.
• Previous interpreting experience, preferably in medical, legal, or educational contexts.
• Demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability in the workplace.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work in various settings and adapt to different work environments.
• Must be located in and authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not offered.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; or certification in interpreting or related fields.
