About The Position

GFT is seeking a NEPA/Project Development and Environmental (PD&E) Manager to join our Transportation Team in Orlando, FL! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Orlando, FL office. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • Registration as an AICP or PE.
  • At least 10 years of similar experience is required.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical information, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the community.
  • Ability to prepare and present speeches and articles for publication.
  • Ability to effectively present information to senior management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • General ability to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Master's Degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, coordinates and reviews the work of project team members.
  • Manages and administers project budgets, schedules and task requirements.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership ability, experience, and technical excellence in NEPA/PD&E services.
  • Independently markets the firm's services to existing and new clients.
  • Consults with superiors on problems and other related project issues.
  • Confers with local authorities, civic leaders, social scientists, land planning, and development specialists to devise and recommend arrangements of land and physical facilities for residential, commercial, industrial, and community uses.
  • Participates on interdisciplinary teams, providing knowledge in specific planning areas.
  • Participates in the development of scopes of services, budget, and schedule requirements for planning related projects.
  • Organizes, attends, and leads client and public meetings and interviews.
  • Prepares reports, proposals, graphics, and presentation materials.
  • May have supervisory responsibilities if functioning as a Group or Team Leader.
