The Department of Pediatrics and Human Development at Michigan State University (MSU) is seeking a dedicated Neonatologist to join their team in East Lansing, Michigan. This pediatric primary and specialty care department is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, advancing medical education, and conducting impactful research. The faculty members are actively involved in a variety of clinical and research initiatives aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of children and newborns. Current research areas within the division include lung biology, stem cell biology, necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), and placental microbiome studies. Candidates with a background in stem cell research are particularly encouraged to apply, as there are numerous opportunities for collaboration with basic science researchers at MSU. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical care at the regional neonatal care unit and developmental assessment clinic located at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the role includes academic duties such as teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, engaging in research or scholarly activities, attending departmental and divisional meetings, and serving on committees as requested by the department or university. Special assignments may also be directed by the division chief of neonatology and the department chair, ensuring a well-rounded experience in both clinical and academic settings.
