About The Position

The Division of Neonatology at Children’s Mercy Hospital Kansas City is seeking board certified/eligible Neonatologists to provide clinical care at the level III NICU at Ascension Via Christi Hospital, St. Joseph campus in Wichita, Kansas. The duties of the position will involve both leadership and clinical service, with great opportunities for outreach and education. The ideal candidate should have an interest in and evidence of scholarly pursuits, including education and quality improvement initiatives. Educational opportunities are available, as Ascension Via Christi Hospital is home to the “second largest in the country” Family Medicine Residency program. The patient population is diverse in this busy practice, which draws from a large region in western Kansas. Teleconferencing allows for participation in Children’s Mercy educational activities and conferences. Colleagues in Kansas City are accessible for professional discussions and consultation. The Children’s Mercy – Kansas City Division of Neonatology includes 37 neonatologists with a wide spectrum of interests, providing opportunity for candidates to find collaboration and support for an individualized professional career pathway. Requirements

  • Board certified/eligible Neonatologist
  • Unwavering commitment to excellence, integrity, collegiality, antiracism, and respect for inclusion of individuals with diverse backgrounds
  • Must be willing to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella) and/or without evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005
