About The Position

The Neonatologist will provide a high level of clinical excellence through providing safe, prompt, competent, collaborative, and evidence-based medical care to patients at Level II-Level IV NICUs and newborn nurseries. The Neonatologist will be responsible to follow care guidelines and treatment protocols for infants with a variety of neonatal illnesses and conditions covering a broad spectrum of health issues. The Neonatologist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including attending, advanced practitioner staff, nursing and subspecialists to provide this care. Additionally, the Neonatologist will be responsible to teach a variety of learners, including medical students, residents and fellows and to participate in all academic conferences and meetings within the Division. The Neonatologist is also expected to pursue additional academic pursuits. Connecticut Children’s is the only health system in Connecticut that is 100% dedicated to children.
