Neonatal Transition Nurse - Mother Baby
About The Position

We set high standards for customer service, quality, and keeping costs under control. POSITION SUMMARY Our Mother Baby Post-Partum Unit includes 24 Private rooms. Our practice model is Couplet Care which emphasizes well mother and well-baby being cared for together, as a “couplet,” or pair by the same nurse. Mother Baby Nursing staff are expected to provide care and support for each couplet after delivery until discharge. The Couplet RN is responsible for making sure that medical as well emotional needs of the couplet are adequately met throughout the post-partum stay.The RN assigned to Delivery is responsible for the care of the neonate during the transition to couplet care.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Nursing or equivalent
- N/A
- BLS obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer
- NRP within 12 month of DOH/Transfer
- Registered Nursing License
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of Mother Baby experience in an acute care facility
- RNC-Mother-Baby Certification
- N/A
