About The Position

$10,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires that meet the required qualifications and conditions for payment Join the sixth largest Mother Baby Hospital in the nation and the largest in the Seattle Metro area! Our dedicated External Transport team provides critical care and safely transports neonatal patients back to our facility. We proudly feature a NICU with a specialized Small Baby unit, catering specifically to the most vulnerable micro-preemies. The role involves setting up and operating various types of critical care and respiratory care equipment used in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases. This includes support in a referral center, during ground transport, and in the base hospital. Ground transport will be limited to neonatal, infant, and pediatric patient populations. You will perform specialized skills and manage equipment and techniques pertaining to neonates, infants, and pediatric patients, such as: Neonatal resuscitation Delivery room attendance Airway support & stabilization Surfactant administration Nitric administration Conventional and High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV) necessary for NICU/PICU care Providence Swedish caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements

  • Coursework/Training: Successful completion of an accredited respiratory therapy educational program sufficient to qualify for licensure in Washington State
  • Coursework/Training: Must successfully complete hospital orientation, Respiratory Care Department orientation, and Neonatal and Pediatric orientation
  • Coursework/Training: Must successfully complete transport educational class and transport process for Neonatal and Pediatrics
  • Upon hire: Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire: National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics
  • 1 year of hospital-based work experience, in the field of Respiratory Care

Nice To Haves

  • Upon hire: Neonatal Pediatric Specialty (RRT-NPS) - National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Experience with neonates and pediatric patients
