About The Position

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Coordinator. The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Coordinator: Will work in collaboration with the nursing leadership on the unit and will provide support to the Medical Director. Oversees the monitoring of licensure, credentialing, certification, and other regulatory requirements Reviews and maintains awareness of unit/department specific policies, procedures, and guidelines while ensuring consistency with evidence-based practice where applicable/including VON and other NICU databases. Works with leadership to recruit and hire staff, oversees and coordinates work schedules/vacation requests, collaborates and completes NNP staff performance, participates in performance evaluations, disciplinary actions as required, and determines and disseminates quality activities and design for assigned staff. Provides formal and informal clinical instruction, coaching and mentoring on all shifts. Analyzes and audits MER and provides education on findings for improvement to staff. Develops and monitors individual goals for clinical practice and professional development and provides feedback during annual performance review process regarding goal achievement. In addition to this role, the NNP Coordinator will also fulfill the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner -NICU job description for all clinical time.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree is required
  • Registered Nurse with WV License is required
  • Advanced Practice recognized by WV State Board of Registered Professional Nurses is required
  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification is required
  • CPR is required
  • NRP is required
  • Up to 1 Year Experience is Required

Nice To Haves

  • 1 to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years full time level III NICU nursing experience
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work in an interdisciplinary setting
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate appropriately and effectively
  • Computer skills, especially word processor and excel spread sheets
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Pleasant attitude and ability to deal with people from all walks of life
  • Neat, business like appearance
