About The Position

The Neonatal ICU Registered Nurse (NICU RN) at Redeemer Health is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the neonatal intensive care unit. This role emphasizes patient advocacy, clinical expertise, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The position offers a supportive environment for professional growth and includes a sign-on bonus of up to $6000.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Registered licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • BSN completed or to be attained within 3 years of hire.
  • Specialty certification preferred.
  • IV skills required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification in specialty areas required within 6 months.
  • NRP certification required within 6 months for NICU, LDR, MIU, Nursery.
  • PALS certification required within 6 months for ED, PACU.
  • Fetal monitor certification preferred for LDR, required within 1 to 2 years based on experience.
  • 8 hours annual stroke education and NIH certification for Telemetry RNs.
  • 8 hours annual stroke education and NIH certification for ED and ICCU RNs.
  • One hour annual stroke education for Nurses not assigned to stroke units.
  • Must be available for alternate shift work.
  • Must meet satisfactory completion of orientation and competency validation within probationary period.

Nice To Haves

  • Fetal monitor certification for LDR preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of the nursing process under the Professional Nursing Law.
  • Facilitate communication, assessment, intervention, education, and planning for comprehensive nursing care.
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care and supervise others providing this care.
  • Communicate with multidisciplinary team members about changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
  • Act as a patient/customer advocate and represent the health system in meeting patient/family needs.
  • Assist in the development of new staff nurses and contribute to the future development of the nursing profession.
