About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a highly experienced Neonatal ICU Director to lead a Level 3 NICU with 35 beds plus 8 overflow and a team of 60 FTEs within a 300+ bed full-service hospital. This hospital also houses the region’s only kidney transplant center. The NICU Director will oversee day-to-day operations, transport services, staff development, and quality improvement initiatives in a high-acuity neonatal care environment.

Requirements

• BSN required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Current Texas RN license (or compact state).
• Certifications: BCLS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E.
• Progressive NICU leadership experience in Level 3 or higher environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage NICU and Transition Nursery operations, including staffing, budgeting, and 24/7 coverage.
• Foster multidisciplinary collaboration with nursing, respiratory, pharmacy, and laboratory teams.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, staff hiring, evaluation, coaching, and professional development.
• Oversee NICU transport services and capital resource planning.
• Ensure the highest standards of neonatal safety, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
