About The Position

Sutter West Bay Medical Group has an opportunity for a BC/BE Neonatal Hospitalist to join a premier, integrated practice consisting of neonatologists, neonatal hospitalists and nurse practitioners in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our clinics provide all the advantages of a community-based private practice with the added support of a larger, multispecialty organization. Location: San Francisco, CA & Burlingame, CA Opportunity Details: As part of our integrated practice, you will provide care across two clinical sites: California Pacific Medical Center: Regional referral center 35-bed level III NICU. Mills Peninsula Medical Center In addition to our California Pacific Medical Center site, we have dedicated neonatology hospitalists to provide specialized 24/7 care for newborns at Mills Peninsula Hospital in Burlingame, California with approximately 1500 deliveries per year. Hospitalist work closely with neonatologists, obstetricians, labor and delivery teams to ensure seamless transitions and the highest quality care.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
  • Active California Medical License (preferred or required prior to start)

Responsibilities

  • Neonatal in-patient care, attending deliveries, night coverage supported by an in-house neonatal hospitalist team.
  • Active well-baby service for newborn service
  • Transport services and high-risk perinatal navigation
  • Comprehensive pediatric subspecialty support and programs (small baby unit, neurocritical care, neonatal surgery) via partnership with Stanford Children's Hospital
  • Neonatal inpatient care in house 24/7 (mostly Level 1)
  • coverage of 6 bed Level II Special Care Nursery with advanced monitoring
  • Management of respiratory distress, jaundice, and feeding difficulties and care for premature infants 34 weeks and above
  • Active Well Baby service and delivery room coverage.
  • Coordination with neonatology, transport and pediatric specialists
  • Family-centered care with parent education and support
