About The Position

Neogard is seeking a professional responsible for increasing awareness and use of its products and assistance within the architect and specifier community. This role will serve as the technical sales expert for roofing, flooring, and waterproofing influencers who do not directly purchase products. The individual will collaborate closely with Neogard Segment Managers, Account Managers, and the National Architectural Specialists Manager to identify and engage key strategic end users.

Requirements

  • BS in Construction Management or Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Civil), prior experience as an A/E representative with coatings experience or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years direct experience working within architectural market channels
  • Sales and relationship building experience
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • An organized, independent, and proactive approach
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, Power Point and CRM.
  • Overnight travel (30% - 50%)

Nice To Haves

  • In depth knowledge of Flooring, Waterproofing, and Roof coatings a plus.
  • Solid understanding of the technical side of commercial roofing, codes, approvals (FM, RoofNav, UL, SPRI, ARMA, IIBEC, ICRI & Miami-Dade).
  • Knowledge of competitive bidding and specification building and Member of CSI (Construction Specifiers Institute)

Responsibilities

  • Maximize long-term specification acceptance in assigned territory through effective development of relationships with key architects and specifiers.
  • Prepare/update specifications for projects in the A/E/C Industry when requested.
  • Participates in writing new master specifications for the firm's library as needed.
  • Coordinate specific master specification divisions knowledge base as part of team.
  • Identify and continually develop and manage a qualified pipeline of large strategic opportunities and establish focused plans to follow the project through the pipeline and hand off to the sales team for closure.
