About The Position

CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Neo4j Database Administrator within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. The Neo4j Database Administrator is responsible for the overall health, performance, and security of Neo4j graph database environments. This role often involves a blend of administration, development, and collaboration with other teams. CGI Federal is growing its high-performance team whose members share a passion for building high-quality, scalable, advanced IT solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced, outcome-driven mission. This position is located in our Arlington VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. Must live within a 50-mile radius of DMV/NCR.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience.
  • Active DOD Clearance Required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI is preferred.
  • Strong experience in database administration, with specific expertise in Neo4j.
  • Proficiency in Cypher query language and graph data modeling.
  • Experience with Neo4j tools and ecosystem (e.g., Neo4j Browser, Bloom, APOC).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) if managing cloud-based Neo4j instances.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Neo4j database instances and clusters.
  • Manage Neo4j clusters, including backup, recovery, and high availability setups.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and perform tuning for optimal efficiency.
  • Implement and manage data import and migration processes into Neo4j.
  • Ensure data security, user access control, and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Analyze and optimize Cypher queries and graph data models for performance and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to query performance, resource usage, and system health.
  • Implement monitoring tools to track database health and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with developers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to design and implement graph data models.
  • Provide support to application teams utilizing Neo4j, assisting with integration and query development.
  • Create and maintain documentation for database architecture, procedures, and configurations.
  • Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies.
  • Stay updated on the latest Neo4j releases, features, and best practices.
  • Manage multiple Neo4j instances and environments.
