We are seeking an NDT Technician / Special Inspector who is excited to expand your experience and learning into other disciplines to join our Redmond, WA team! Come join us! You will be our primary NDT technician for a variety of "on-call" clients around the greater Seattle area. This work includes everything from thermite welds in track, to fab-shop inspections, to moment connections in structural steel buildings. The remainder of your work week will be filled with a variety of other structural inspections to support our infrastructure quality teams. Our key clients include Sound Transit, WSDOT, and Port of Seattle, as well as a number of the largest construction firms in Pacific Northwest.

Requirements

  • UT level 2 and MT level 2, or eligible per ASNT SNT-TC-1A.
  • Committed to earn one or more ICC/WABO certifications within 4 months of hire.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • AWS CWI highly desired.
  • Other experience/certifications in reinforced concrete, structural welding and bolting, other Special Inspection categories.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing in accordance with approved procedures following applicable codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of industry health and safety procedures.
  • Commitment to working safely at all times.
  • Prepare accurate daily reports including description of work done, conclusions.
  • Professionally interface with customers to address issues and solve problems.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in a construction site environment, including at heights and in inclement weather
  • Some local travel may be required.
  • Lifting/carrying by weight (50 pounds) frequently may be required.
  • Mobility such as reaching, kneeling/crawling, bending/crouching, and frequency/duration in which action is required.
  • Endurance such as sitting, standing, walking, climbing, or driving, and frequency/duration in which action is required.
