About The Position

We are seeking a motivated 3rd Shift NDT Technician – X-Ray Operator (Level 2) to join our Mentor team. In this role, you’ll be testing precision cast parts for defects, ensuring they meet exact specifications. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred (experience may substitute)
  • Minimum of 1 year as an NDT Technician/Operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to meet deadlines with accountability for both quality and quantity
  • Strong attendance record and dependability
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Comfortable using a team approach to problem-solving and maintaining a positive work atmosphere
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations with tight deadlines
  • Must pass visual acuity exam and willing to study for Level 1 certification if needed

Nice To Haves

  • Casting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Test parts for defects and deviations from specifications using X-ray and precision measuring instruments
  • Perform system capability checks and process parts according to applicable specifications
  • Handle hazardous materials safely following MSDS and company policies
  • Maintain accurate daily records of work performed and operational codes
  • Stock and manage X-ray film inventory, including storing exposed film
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with all safety procedures
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to solve problems efficiently
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by department supervisor or Level III personnel
