About The Position

1st Shift NDT Technician – X-Ray Operator (Level II) Mentor, Ohio 1st Shift | Friday – Sunday | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is a global leader in manufacturing complex metal components for aerospace, industrial, and power generation industries. We are seeking a motivated 1st Shift NDT Technician – X-Ray Operator (Level II) to join our Mentor, OH team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality and integrity of our precision cast components. What You’ll Do As an NDT Technician, you will:

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred (experience may substitute).
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in a NDT Technician/Operator (RT) role.
• Skills & Characteristics: Strong sense of urgency and accountability.
• Able to meet deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable with a history of good attendance.
• Motivated self-starter with problem-solving skills.
• Positive communication and teamwork mindset.
• Ability to handle high-stress situations with tight deadlines.
• Must pass a visual acuity exam.
• Willingness to devote personal time toward Level 1 exam preparation.
• Capable of performing the physical requirements of the role safely.

Nice To Haves

• Casting or metal manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct X-ray inspections to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
• Process parts according to established inspection procedures and quality standards.
• Perform system capability checks to ensure equipment accuracy.
• Handle hazardous materials safely in accordance with MSDS and company policy.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and operational codes.
• Stock and manage film inventory for X-ray inspections.
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Collaborate with supervisors and Level III personnel to meet production and quality goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support department objectives.
