Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? We are seeking an NDT Senior Supervisor to support our Non-Destructive Testing department. In this role the NDT Senior Supervisor will be providing direction to employees while developing team leads, technicians, and inspectors through effective coaching, communication, and training. The NDT Senior Supervisor will appy innovative approaches to problem solving and the ability to develop timely action plans for resolution while driving the tactical execution of the quality management system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, materials, procurement or supply chain environment or an Associate's degree and 7 or more years' experience in an engineering manufacturing, operations management, quality or related environment.
  • In absence of a degree, High School diploma/GED 9 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality or related environment
  • Working knowledge of new product and process technologies
  • Working knowledge of shop practices, processes, and procedures
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability managing multiple competing priorities
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • NDT Level II or III experience/background
  • Eligibility to obtain certification in multiple NDT inspection disciplines up to Level III
  • Demonstrated skill in team leadership, facilitation, and coaching skills; demonstrated success in team leadership role

Responsibilities

  • Drive world-class safety culture and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly
  • Responsible for providing leadership to a NDT inspection group
  • Apply CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a multi-skilled group of team members engaged in performing NDT inspection on a variety of jet engine components
  • Execute fair business decisions, conduct annual performance reviews, hold regular toolbox meetings, provide two-way communication, consistently apply policy and work rules, and deliver clear and consistent communication of organizational goals and objectives
  • Hold employees accountable while maintaining a key working relationship
  • Have flexibility around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, to include overtime
  • Travel as necessary to train, purchase equipment, or resolve customer problems
