The NDT Level III – Senior Engineer I is responsible for reviewing and interpreting NDT requirements within customer and industry specification documents, writing procedures to meet NDT requirements, and leading the Personnel Qualification and Certification program for qualifying NDT operators. This role involves interfacing with customers and third-party auditors regarding technical questions related to NDT, supporting NDT operations by providing training and troubleshooting, and proactively improving and standardizing NDT processes, equipment, and instrumentation based on Carpenter best practices. The engineer will also stabilize NDT processes, implement process controls, lead audits, and maintain records and documentation required for specific nondestructive calibrations, evaluations, and certification.
