Requirements

  • Certifications: RT, PT, VT, UT & MT; IRRSP
  • Radiation Safety Training & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred, or a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Level II.
  • Strong background in inspection, equipment, and techniques
  • Must be able to pass a GSEC background check.
  • Understands value of time and materials.
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods, lift to 50 pounds, stoop, climb, and use ladders to perform various inspection tasks and studies.
  • Handling and moving objects- Using hands and arms in handling, positioning, and moving materials
  • Must be able to stand, squat, bend, crawl, reach

Responsibilities

  • NDT inspections (RT, VT, MT, PT, etc.)
  • Develop and lead an in-house RT program
  • Perform review and interpret radiographic images and reports
  • Notify supervisors and other personnel of quality problem(s), and assist in identifying and correcting those concerns
  • Train, coach and mentor assistants, technicians and trainers in quality workmanship and best practices
  • Verify and support safety requirements compliance
  • Radiation Safety Compliance
  • RT Inspections to ensure safety is prioritized and efficiencies are identified
  • Team growth and training
  • Maintain and improve product quality by collaborating with other team members to develop new process designs, manufacturing, and training methods
  • Maintain NDT personnel certifications & associated documentation
  • Assist with review of contract requirements and vendor/contractor requirements
  • Collecting and compiling relevant quality statistical data
  • Assist with inspection activities as needed
  • Assist with training needs, including leading or co-facilitating training classes as needed, regarding quality procedures and processes
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Adhere to and abide by all ITAR-specific job standards and training.  Protect and properly safeguard ITAR-sensitive information and work product; ensure dissemination or disclosure of and access to “protected data” occurs only with those trained and approved for exposure to ITAR content.
  • IMMEDIATELY notify Supervisor/Manager, Human Resources, Legal (email:  [email protected] [[email protected]]) or the Samuel Ethics Alert Hotline of known or suspected unauthorized disclosure, release of or access to protected ITAR content.
