About The Position

The NDT 2 Technician is responsible for performing Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT), in an ISO 9001 environment. They must be familiar with OSHA requirements for safety and hot work onboard naval vessels. Requirements

• Must be 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid California driver's license.
• Must possess basic skills (reading, writing, and mathematical skills).
• Completion of a satisfactory background check
• Passing a drug test and physical examination
• Eligibility to work in the US.
• Obtaining DBIDS-level security clearance.
• OSHA 10 Maritime

Nice To Haves

• A plus, 5 years of experience in a ship repair NDT environment.
• LVL II Ultrasonic Testing (UT), qualified.
• Able to read, comprehend, and prepare technical documentation, specifications, and procedures.
• MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) computer skills.
• Understand the Naval Ship Repair requirements and working environment.

Responsibilities

• Qualified to properly perform specific NDT processes (VT, MT & PT) and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and to record results.
• Perform work scope review, procedural reviews, and documentation required and preparations of equipment and/or supplies needed.
