Pratt & Whitney is working to once again transform the future of flight—designing, building and servicing engines unlike any the world has ever seen. This is a 2nd shift position. The role involves performing metallurgical inspection processing on a wide variety of development, production and overhaul/repair parts using methods such as fluorescent penetrant, magnetic particle and etch. The inspector will work from detailed procedures, technique sheets, verbal and other pertinent instructions to process parts for nondestructive testing and complete required record keeping. Responsibilities include setting up and operating equipment, identifying recurring processing problems, and assisting certified Level II inspectors. The position may also involve routine servicing and supporting specialized assignments within the scope of the job description.
