NDT Inspector - Logger - 3rd Shift This position will be on 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm) Position summary/Essential Functions: With general guidance in a team environment, NDT Loggers are responsible for various inspection requirements within the NDT department.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years' experience in Aerospace manufacturing, Inspection / Quality paperwork, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturer's specifications and internal drawings and procedures.
  • Possess working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
  • Personal hand tools may be required.
  • May be required to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills. Able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in an NDT department or within an NDT function is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date acceptance and rejection records and/or certifications systems as required by the applicable specifications.
  • Identify defective conditions and test failures and prepare all appropriate documentation and/or calibration history.
  • Interpret specifications, charts and manuals.
  • Use mathematics to convert blueprint dimensions and tolerances.
  • Work within the guidelines of drawings, schematics, blueprints, route sheets, travelers, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, customer's requirements and military standards and/or calibrations procedures.
  • Observe and perform audits of a moderate scope or complexity on assembly and test, machining and other functions for compliance to procedures.
