About The Position

The NDT Inspector I - Drill Pipe position involves inspecting drill pipe and related equipment to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards. The role requires physical capability to perform inspections, supervise a small crew, and maintain equipment while working independently on oilfield locations.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50-60 lbs repeatedly.
• Experience in visual inspection of pipes and tubes.
• Knowledge of EMI inspection techniques.
• Ability to supervise a small crew effectively.
• Strong communication skills for crew coordination.

Responsibilities

• Clean and visually inspect pipe threads and shoulders for damage.
• Visually inspect tubes for defects.
• Take various measurements of the connection.
• Supervise a crew of 2-3 employees performing inspections.
• Perform ground work on an EMI Pipe Inspection Unit.
• Conduct full-length EMI inspections of pipe tubes for defects.
• Safely rig up and rig down equipment while communicating with the crew.
• Wash and clean the truck and maintain equipment.
• Regularly check equipment for problems and safety issues.
• Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of vehicles and equipment.
• Work independently on oilfield locations until the completion of job tasks.
